It generally tends to foul when I come to a stop and when I get back on it hard to cross a road for example I'll feel the misfire. You can also mix a synthetic with a mineral oil. The manufacturers will state on the containers the oil will blend with any mineral or synthetic oil.Here's a photo of the used vs new, quite a difference.
